The pedal is based on the Vox Super Beatle Distortion circuit (which isn’t far off from a Fuzz Face) but has the addition of a buffer, active mid boost in front of the fuzz (adds clarity and overtones), active bass boost after the fuzz (adds thickness), and a soft clip switch (makes it sound cool and squishy.)  With the EQ boosts and fuzz all the way down and volume set conservatively it’s actually fairly transparent.  Turn up the mid, bass, and fuzz and the thing gets supremely heavy.
