Since 2009 portable music shop STOMPBOX SONIC has provided musicians and sound artists a way to harness the creativity within. Its specialty is effects pedals, also known as stompboxes, most unique and handmade by small companies from across the country, but it also deals in vintage guitars, amplifiers and related accessories. On Friday, November 7, a special evening of solo performances will be held at Aviary in Jamaica Plain to celebrate its five years in business featuring:

Michael Hutcherson (Owlfood, Your Reflection), Electric Piano and Synthesizers
These five local musicians are adept sonic travelers and melodic experimenters who deftly incorporate electronic effects to subtly enhance an idea or to create pieces that simply would not exist otherwise in a strictly acoustic environment. They have also been integral to the development and success of Stompbox Sonic. Please join us from 8-11 P.M. on November 7 for an evening of sound exploration.
